Ian and I have been part of "Church" for several years now. Church is really just a fancy name for "Friday happy hour". The original church was started many years ago by Linda Kendall, Peter Knox, and their friends. Slowly those friends slipped away to other parts of the country. We were inducted before long. Then a new baby claimed Peter and Linda.

We kept the tradition alive for a little while by ourselves, but then invited John Cady and Martha Vander Kolk to join us. The four of us were "church" for a year or so before Jason Boss arrived on the scene to liven things up.

Jason has never been one to keep the party small. Over the months since he began attending church, our contingent has grown. Jason is also not one to settle for bar food if this is not necessary. So we've been branching out from our weekly Old Town location to restaurants with tastier fare.

The exact same members are rarely in attendance from week to week, but Jason has remained a regular, as John and Martha come and go. Bill Doster also joined us and has been a regular. While he was in town (briefly), Dave Pochay came sometimes. Laura Packard has been with us a few times, as has Will Rhee, Jason Sonnenschein, and Michael Nagara.
