Two women were going to put me back together again, but none of what they did would be permanent. The dental resident would temporarily stabilize my two front teeth, and the plastic surgeon would sew the shreds of my bottom lip together.
Before my specialists got started, the plastic surgeon had pretty thoroughly washed off my face. Apparently a lot of what looked scary was just blood. She was elated when she saw how much better I looked minus the dried blood. Ian was elsewhere at the time, and she was really excited for him to see me looking so much better.
