Short ride on mountain bike - 16.7 miles

Route

Through downtown Ann Arbor to Fuller, to Glacier - up the Glacier Hill, to Earhart Rd into Arbor Lakes complex; further along on Earhart through Domino's Farms; headed back on road on which Earhart dead-ends; back on Pontiac Trail and through town to home.

Impressions of ride

Purpose of this ride was to see how some alternate routes to work might be. The first half of the ride was one alternative - Fuller/Glacier/Earhart. The second half of the ride was the second alternative, except that we blew it and went too far out on Earhart, so it was much longer than the real route would have been.

The headwinds were bad starting on Earhart. All the way through Domino's Farms, the headwinds were truly terrible. But once we got past the wind and into the countryside, the scenery was beautiful and would make a nice pleasure ride anytime.
